The inaugural cohort of the AU Home Students was welcomed in the guidance session at AU

On the 20th and 21st of August, American University and Ritsumeikan University jointly organized a guidance session for the fourteen Sakura Scholars of the first AU Home cohort on the campus of American University, Washington D.C.

Prof. Hiroaki Ataka, Associate Dean of the College of International Relations joined the session on behalf of Ritsumeikan University's JDP faculty members.

He briefed on life in Japan and Kyoto, as well as academic plans at Ritsumeikan. The participating Sakura Scholars keenly listened to Prof. Ataka and asked various questions.

Dean of the School of International Service Christine BN Chin(@ChristineBNChin)welcomed the new Sakura Scholars with the AU staff who organized the session.

The cohort of the AU Home Students has started their studies at AU and will come to Japan to study at RU in September 2019.
