Main Types of Support for Mirai Seminar Provided by the Liberal Arts Center
If recognized as a Mirai Seminar, seminar groups can receive the following types of support. This support is available to forty seminar groups per year.
Assistance with activity expenses
- Literature purchases and photocopying costs
- Honorarium payments and transportation expenses for guest speakers
- Travel and transportation expenses when conducting fieldwork
- Honorarium payment for mentors (faculty, staff, and graduate students)
- Cost of producing essay collections, etc.
Looking for seminar members
- Recruitment of seminar members
- Getting matched with seminar mentors (faculty, staff, and graduate students) who provide advice regarding seminar management
Disseminating seminar activity results throughout society
- Introduction of activities on this website
- Holding activity debriefing meetings, etc.

*We will hold a joint seminar on Wednesday, February 1 at 18:00 for seminars that will be active in the fourth quarter. This will take place online and include guidance from the Liberal Arts Center Administrative Office as well as an introductory meeting/ground rules development for each seminar group. Seminar applicants should plan for this meeting in advance.
