- 自身の身近にある表象について議論・考察することで、文化に関する学びへの導入となる基本的な知識やきっかけをつかむ 第二言語を使い、バックグラウンドが違う学生と交流する機会をつくる To grasp foundational knowledge and acquire the initial perspective necessary for cultural studies by discussing and analyzing representations found in our daily lives To create opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds while utilizing second language

なぜ、このゼミを立ち上げたいのか（思いのたけ）
私たちの日常には、映画や漫画、食、ファッションなど様々な文化が存在します。それらは人々の想い、解釈やその時代・場所の背景などが現れた「表象」と捉えることができ、そこには文化の面白さが潜んでいると考えています。そんな、普段何気なく楽しむ文化を考え、議論することで「学び」に繋げてみませんか？
また表象文化を軸に、訪れて「なんか似てる」と感じた京都とロンドンについても、実際に各文化を体験しながら考えたいです。さらに「他言語を使いたいけど、自信も機会もない」というもどかしさに、本ゼミが貢献できることも期待しています。活動中は、立ち上げ人たちが言語面でサポートを行うので、安心してご参加ください。
少しでも思い当たることがあれば、どなたでも大歓迎です。マイペースに、でも真剣に、一緒に文化の奥深さを冒険しましょう！
We are surrounded by various culture such as movie, manga, food, and fashion in our lives. Those can be regarded as “representation” what reflects people’s thoughts, interpretations, and background of specific time and place. We believe this is where the real intrigue of culture lies. Why not turn the everyday enjoyment of culture into a deep "learning" experience by analyzing and discussing these cultural representations?
This zemi will also consider Kyoto and London, where I felt “somehow similar” with centralizing cultural representation while experiencing their cultures. Furthermore, we hope this seminar can address the frustration of wanting to use foreign languages but lacking confidence or opportunity. Please feel free to join; the organizers will provide language support during the activity.

・日本やイギリスの文化に興味がある方 (interests in UK or Japan)
・映画や漫画、本、絵画などの文化とその背景を分析、比較したり、それを他の人と話し合ったりしたい方 (who seek to discuss, compare, and analyze culture (movie, manga, book, art, etc.) and its background)
・様々な学部、回生、出身の人とお話しし、仲良くなりたい方 (who want to talk and get along with various departments, grade, and backgrounds)
・言語レベルの差などを気にせずにリラックスした空間で日本語/英語を話す機会が欲しい方 (who want to have relaxed place where you can practice languages without any fear and hesitation)

・アイスブレイクを兼ねたクリスマスパーティ (Christmas party with ice break)
・日本とイギリスの「お茶文化」体験比較 (Comparative experience of Japan-UK “Tea culture”)
・自分の好きな作品について表象文化の観点からディスカッション (Discussion about favorite works from perspective of culture and representation)
・美術館・博物館へのフィールドワーク (Fieldwork to museums and art museums)
