Profile
Akio Nagahira received his M.S. in Economics in 1996 from Tohoku University, and he received his Ph.D. in 1999 in technology management from Tohoku University. Before joining the Tohoku University in his current capacity, he had worked for the Development Bank of Japan, Japanese Government founded, for 20 years (1979-1999). In 1999 he moved to Tohoku University and he was the professor at the Graduate School of Engineering in Tohoku University until at the end of March in 2019. He is presently the professor at the Graduate School of Technology Management in Ritsumeikan University since at the beginning of April in 2019. He is currently engaged in researches regarding R&D management and production management of manufacturing firms. Dr. Nagahira is a member of the Academy of Management of U.S.A., the Japan Society for Science Policy and Research Management and the Academic Association for Organizational Science of Japan.
