Career after graduation

More than fifty five percent of the undergraduate students go on to the major in the advanced electrical, electronic and computer systems of the graduate school of Ritsumeikan University. The graduate school has the master program for two years and the doctor program for three years. Most of students who have completed the master program get a job in industry as high-level specialized professionals. Several students become public servants in national and prefectural governments.

More than 7500 companies of many kinds of field present so much offer of jobs to department students every years. Their fields are electricity, electronics, optics, machine, information, communication, power & energy, automobile, shipbuilding & rolling stock, biotechnology, traffic, chemical & pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food, environment, design & construction, education, service, finance, sport, media(news paper, broadcasting, advertisement, information provider, movie), independent administrative agency, medical institution, private research institute. Department student can find the most adequate prospective possibility from these fields.

Career design support

Career Center which offers students many services for job hunting, presents characteristic service like guidance, lectures, forums, individual counseling, trial job interviews, on-campus recruitment seminars, instructions of self-assessment, matching students with companies, discussions with alumni &alumnae, training in filling out entry sheets and so on. By these services, students can get job information from not only company but also alumni & alumnae of university and students got tentative job offers. Career Center also open many classes on campus for students who hope to take various additional qualifications aimed at enhancing their employability.
