立命館大学学友会は、正課の学修活動や課外自主活動の発展・向上、学園の進展に寄与することを目的として、立命館大学の全学部生で構成されている学生自身による自治組織です。学友会は、「新入生歓迎や学園祭、学術・学芸・スポーツ・ボランティアなど多様な課外自主活動への取り組み」、「学生の学び・学生生活のアメニティなどの環境の改善に向けた活動」などを行っており、学友会独自のホームページにて活動情報も公開しています。
会費は、主として新入生歓迎行事や学園祭の開催、学生の課外自主活動団体への支援など、学友会の諸取り組みのために活用されています。本学では、学友会によるこれらの自律的・自主的な営みが学生自身の成長のための重要な側面を担っていると考えており、学友会の活動を支援しています。また予算管理や執行についても、大学が一部委託を受け対応しています。

立命館大学院生協議会連合会は、大学院生の研究生活全般の発展・向上と本学および本大学院の発展を目的として、立命館大学の全院生において構成される大学院生自身による自治組織です。
院生協議会連合会は、「大学院生の教育・研究環境に関する改善の要求」、「大学院生の生活のアメニティを高めるための取り組み」等を行っています。本学では、これら自律的・自主的な営みが院生自身の成長や環境改善において重要な側面を担っていると考えています。会員が納める会費は、院生協議会連合会および各研究科院生協議会としての活動費（事務消耗品、共有資料の購入などの費用）に使用しています。本学は院生協議会連合会が報告する毎年度の予算・決算内容を確認のうえ、会費の代理徴収に関する可否を判断しています。また、予算管理や執行についても、大学が一部委託を受け対応しています。

立命館大学では、「学会」を設けている学部・研究科があります。それぞれの学会は、研究の振興と助成を目的としており、主な事業として、①「研究紀要」（学会誌）発行、②研究会の開催、③研究への助成、④学術講演会の開催、⑤各種調査・見学会の実施、⑥ゼミナール大会の実施、⑦セミナー・研修事業などを行っています。会員に対しては、専任教員の研究論文、学生の卒業論文や大学院生の修士論文の中で優秀なもの、書評や学会動向の紹介などを掲載した研究紀要（学会誌）が定期的に発行されるのをはじめ、著名な講師による学術講演会の開催やゼミナール大会の実施を通じて、所属学部・研究科での学修・研究に役立つ機会が提供されます。
それぞれの学会は、その学部・研究科に所属する教員、大学院生、学生によって構成されています（卒業生や修了生なども、所定の手続を経れば会員になることができます）。本学では、各学会の事業を意義あるものとして認め、学会のある学部・研究科に入学された場合は、学部・研究科への入学をもって、学会に入会いただくこととしています。

父母教育後援会は、「立命館大学の教育方針に則り、父母との連絡を密にし、教育事業を援助し、併せて会員相互の親睦を図る」ことを目的として、懇談会事業、奨学金をはじめとする学生生活支援、就職活動支援等の事業を行っています。

立命館大学の学部卒業生・大学院修了生および教職員を会員とし、様々な交流を通じて、「母校の発展を支援し、あわせて会員相互の親睦を図ること、社会の発展に貢献する」ことを目的とした組織です。
校友数は約40万人、全国都道府県52校友会、海外34校友会をはじめ、ゼミ・サークル・職域・地域等を単位とした約600のグループ校友会が活動を行なっており、学部・研究科校友会もその中の一つとなります。
主な事業として、全国校友大会の開催、学部校友会や学部周年事業の開催、都道府県校友会の活動支援、校友会報「りつめい」の発行、学部生・大学院生への奨学金等の給付のほか、新卒校友歓迎企画や立命館スポーツの応援といった諸事業を行なっています。また、会員には校友会員証が交付され、図書館など学内施設を卒業後に利用することも可能となります。

The Ritsumeikan University Student Government Board is a student-run autonomous organization made up of all undergraduate students at Ritsumeikan University with the aim of contributing to the improvement and expansion of both academic and extracurricular activities as well as the development of the Ritsumeikan Academy. The Student Government Board holds welcome events for new students, the yearly school festival, and various academic, athletic and volunteer extracurricular activities, calls for the improvement of student learning environments, improves usage conditions for extracurricular activities, and contributes to improving amenities for students. The membership fee is mainly used for the Student Government Board's various activities, such as holding welcome events for new students and the school festival, and supporting students' extracurricular activity organizations. The university believes that the autonomous and independent activities of the Student Government Board play an important role in the growth of the students themselves, and we support the Student Government Board's activities. In addition, the university is partially entrusted with managing and implementing the Student Government Board's budget.

The Ritsumeikan University Federation of Graduate Student Councils is a student-run autonomous organization made up of all graduate students at Ritsumeikan University with the aim of contributing to the improvement and expansion of graduate students' research activities as well as the development of Ritsumeikan University and its graduate schools.
The Federation of Graduate Student Councils calls for the improvement of graduate student educational and research environments and contributes to improving amenities for graduate students. The university believes that the autonomous and independent activities of these graduate students play an important role in the growth of the graduate students themselves as well as in the improvement of their learning environment. The membership fee is used to cover the activity expenses of the Federation of Graduate Students Associations and the Graduate Students Association of each graduate school, such as the cost of consumable office supplies and shared materials. The University decides whether to collect membership fees on behalf of the Federation of Graduate Students Associations and the Graduate Students Association after reviewing the details of the budget and accounts for each financial year as reported by the Associations. In addition, the university is partially entrusted with managing and implementing the Federation of Graduate Students Associations and the Graduate Students Association budget.
Membership fee: 2,000–5,000 yen per semester.
At Ritsumeikan University, certain colleges and graduate schools have established academic associations. Academic associations aim to contribute to the development of research and offer grants to researchers. Specifically, the main work of academic associations includes the following: ① publishing research journals (i.e., academic association bulletins), ② organizing research meetings, ③ offering financial assistance for research activities, ④ holding academic lectures, ⑤ hosting research-related fieldwork, ⑥ organizing seminar conferences, and ⑦ seminars and training programs. Members receive periodical research journals (i.e., academic association bulletins) containing research papers written by permanent faculty members of Ritsumeikan University, selected graduation and master's theses, book reviews, and the latest information on the academic association. Members are also given opportunities to attend academic lectures held by distinguished lecturers and seminar conferences useful for their studies and research.
Each association is made up of faculty, undergraduate students and graduate students from the respective college or graduate school it supports (former graduates of a particular college or graduate school can also join its academic association after completing the necessary procedures). The university recognizes each academic association's work as meaningful, and if you enroll in a college or graduate school with an academic association, you will be required to join the academic association upon admission to the college or graduate school.
Membership fee: 5,000 yen for the first year / 10,000 yen each year thereafter.
The Parents Association of Student Education Assistance aims to maintain close communication with parents, support education initiatives, and foster friendly relations among its members in accordance with the education policies of Ritsumeikan University. The Association hosts social gatherings, offers scholarships and other support for student life, as well as job hunting support.

The Ritsumeikan University Alumni Association is made up of alumni (both undergraduate and graduate), faculty and staff. Through a variety of activities, the Alumni Association aims to support the development of Ritsumeikan University, promote friendship among its members, and contribute to society.
Today, Association membership totals approximately 400,000 people spread across Japan and the rest of the world. There are 52 prefectural associations, 34 overseas associations and approximately 600 alumni groups that have formed around specific seminars, clubs, occupations, regions, etc., and also include individual college and graduate school alumni associations.
The Alumni Association mainly engages in the following activities: organizing the national alumni association assembly, hosting alumni reunions and anniversary events of colleges, supporting activities of prefectural alumni associations, publishing and sending out the Association's bulletin ("Ritsumei," which is published three times a year), offering grant-type scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students, planning events to welcome new members of the association, and supporting Ritsumeikan University sports teams during athletic events. Members also receive an alumni membership card which gives them access to the university libraries, alumni lounges and other on-campus facilities.
