Post Conference Tour

APOLOGY
The initially planed tour visiting Kyoto Imperial Palace has been canceled, because Kyoto Imperial Palace will not be opened in the conference week.

In the afternoon on November 19 (Thursday), we will arrange the post conference tour visiting Mt. Hiei that straddles between Kyoto and Lake Biwa, which is the biggest lake in Japan, and Sakamoto that is a foot town of Mt. Hiei. You can enjoy the beautiful landscape decorated with colored leaves and the panorama of Lake Biwa from Mt. Hiei.
There is Enryakuji Temple, which is the main temple of the Tendai Buddhism, on Mt. Hiei. After visiting Enryakuji Temple, we will go down the mountain to Sakamoto by a cable car, and visit Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine, which is the oldest shraine in Japan. In both, the colored leaves festival will be held.
We will depart after the closing ceremony with a boxed lunch and will be back to Kyoto Garden Palace at around 18:00. The tour is free for charge.
