Overview

National Chengchi University, Taiwan(NCCU) —founded in 1927 and located in Taipei,Taiwan— is one of the best universities in Taiwan. Over 15,000 students study at NCCU, which has 9 colleges, the colleges of Commerce, Communication, Foreign Languages and Literature, Education, International Affairs, Law, Liberal Arts, Science, and Social Sciences. The College of International Affairs is well known as a graduate school from which many diplomats have graduated. The College of International Affairs is also an APSIA member. DMDP students will be able to gain valuable experience by learning about two influential Asian societies—Japan and Taiwan.

Up to 10 academic credits earned at RU may be transferred to NCCU.

NCCU offers 6 major programs listed below and students are requested to choose one of them at the time of application. IMPIS is conducted in English, Japan Studies is conducted in Japanese and Chinese, the other courses are mainly conducted in Chinese.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition

Students are required to pay a regular tuition to RU. (NCCU tuition is not required under the RU-NCCU agreement, but if students wish to take classes more than the the number of the specified 30 credits, additional fees are required. 1(one) excess credit costs NT$3,310.)

Fees

DMDP students at NCCU will be financially responsible for

  • Information Appliance Fee: NT$624 (per semester)
  • Insurance Fee: NT$126 (per year)
  • Any other expense not specified in this provision that may arise in the context of the student mobility.

Accommodations & Living Costs

NCCU offers all students a room in the dormitory.(if available)
DMDP students will be allocated in a double room. Accommodation fee would be from NT$11,150 to NT$22,150.
