Access

Please use public transportation to visit our campus. There is no parking space for bicycles and cars available in Ritsumeikan Suzaku Campus nor Tokyo Campus.

Suzaku Campus (Kyoto)

The Kyoto Seminar will be held at SUZAKU Campus, which opened in September 2006. SUZAKU Campus is located at the center of Kyoto City.

By train & subway

  • 2-minute walk south from the Nijo Station on Tozai subway line and JR Sagano line
  • A 10-minute walk north from the Omiya Station on the Hankyu line

*Please be aware that Ritsumeikan has two campuses on two different locations in Kyoto:
The main campus is called KINUGASA Campus, located North-West of Kyoto City, and SUZAKU campus is located right in the middle of the city. The Kyoto Seminar will be held at Suzaku Campus.

From Kansai International Airport to Kyoto Station

The most convenient ways to access Kyoto from Kansai International Airport is to take a limousine bus or JR limited express train called “Haruka”. Another convenient transport option is door-to-door shuttle bus service by MK and Yasaka.

From Osaka “Itami” international Airport to Kyoto Station

If you are arriving at “Itami” Airport, a limousine bus is the most convenient and efficient transport to get to Kyoto. MK and Yasaka shuttle services are also available but not JR train.

Getting Kyoto Station from

  • Tokyo - 2.5 hours ride by JR Shinkansen (Bullet Train)
  • Kansai International Airport - 75 minutes ride by JR Limited Express train “Haruka”
  • Nagoya - 40 minutes by JR Shinkansen (Bullet Train)

Ritsumeikan Tokyo Campus

The Tokyo Seminar will be held at Tokyo Campus, located at the center of Tokyo, about a 1-minute walk from Shinkansen Nihonbashi Ticket Gate at Tokyo Station. It is on the 8th floor of Sapia Tower.

From Narita International Airport to Tokyo Station

There are several methods of getting from Narita International Airport to Tokyo Station. Major methods are Narita Express Train and Limousine Bus.

Train

Narita Express, called "N'EX", provides rapid, frequent, and comfortable service to passengers traveling between Narita International Airport and JR Tokyo Station. It takes 55 minutes and costs 2,940 yen one way. N'EX usually runs every one hour. Please check the following timetable and consider getting off at the nearest N'EX station.

Bus

Airport Limousine buses from the airport to various destinations leave from the arrival level on the first floor. Passengers planning to take the bus should obtain their tickets at the ticket counters before proceeding to the bus stops. It is an 80-110-minute ride, and it costs 3,000 yen per one way. You should allow plenty of time for travel to or from the airport as delays can occur due to traffic and weather conditions.
