Laboratory

The material and construction laboratory academic activities are mainly focuses on study and research about construction materials, structural design and construction methods. Our vision is to nurture and produce excellent engineers and managers in building construction field area. Our main research theme related to:

  1. Development of new construction method and quality control method (e.g., Electrical resistivity measurement method)
  2. Promotion of sustainable design (e.g., Base isolation seismic retrofitting)
  3. Development of new construction materials (e.g., Carbon fiber)

Our research activity is mainly with collaboration with construction companies, academic institutions and government offices. We are very active internationally by visiting collaborate with foreign universities and participating in international conferences. Our laboratory members are not only enthusiastic young students, but also active experienced engineers as lecturers, therefore encourage active and positive research activities. We are dreaming on producing solid and potential human resources so they can actively contribute to the society, especially in construction and structural engineering.
