Experience a playful journey into Scandinavian storytelling, where trolls, northern lights, and ancient myths come to life through theatre games and creative exploration.  

Working in groups, you will have the opportunity to discover traditional stories, re-imagine them, and bring them to life through performance. Together, we will explore the wonders, landscapes, and folklore of Scandinavia in a fun and supportive environment.  

No previous knowledge of Scandinavian culture or theatre experience is required. Come as you are!  

Workshops will be held in English. All English levels are welcome.  

Day 1: Tues 23 June, 16:40-18:15, “Huldra: the Forest Woman” 

Day 2: Fri 26 June, 13:10-14:45, “Scared of the Northern Lights (Sámi myth)”  

※There are two independent workshops. You are welcome to attend both or just one! 

   

Hello! My name is Oana Maria. I am a language teacher and theatre practitioner who combines theatre, storytelling, and language learning in creative and engaging workshops. This is my second time offering these workshops in Kyoto. I really enjoyed last year's sessions, and I am very happy to be able to offer them again this year.  

I live in Northern Norway, and I would love to share wih you stories, myths, and traditions from this fascinating part of the world. Together, we will discover the landscapes, folklore, and imagination that have shaped Scandinavian storytelling for generations.

スカンジナビアの物語を通じて、のびのびと楽しい旅に出てみませんか？　シアターゲームや創造的な活動で、トロールやオーロラ、古代の神話の世界に足を踏み入れてみましょう。 

ワークショップでは、グループで伝統的な物語について学び、パフォーマンスを通して生き生きと語り直すことを試みます。安心して参加できる環境で、楽しく一緒にスカンジナビアの不思議な物語や風景、民話の世界を探ってみませんか？  

スカンジナビア文化の知識や演劇の経験はいりません！ 

興味がある人は、誰でも歓迎です！  

ワークショップの言語は【英語】です（必要に応じて日本語でサポートします）。 

レベルは問いません！ 

第1回: 6月23日(火), 16:40-18:15, 「フルドラ：森の精霊」 

第2回: 6月26日(金), 13:10-14:45, 「オーロラに対するおそれ（サーミの神話）」 

※第1回と第2回は別々のワークショップです。片方だけへの参加も、両方への参加もどちらも歓迎します。 

   

こんにちは！オアナ・マリアです。わたしは語学を教えたり、演劇を実践したりしています。演劇とストーリーテリングと言語学習を組み合わせて、クリエイティブで魅力的なワークショップを提供しています。京都でワークショップを行うのは今回2度目です。今年もみなさんとワークショップができることを嬉しく思います。 

今回はわたしが住んでいる北部ノルウェーの土地に伝わる、物語や神話、伝統的慣習をご紹介したいと思っています。ワークショップを通じて、スカンジナビアのストーリーテリングを何世代にもわたって支えてきた風景や民話などについて一緒に学びましょう。
