6月23日（日）の12:30-16：00に「織りなす京色：西陣織手織体験／Threads of Kyoto: Exploring the Nishijin Textile Culture」を開催します。
このイベントでは、西陣織の豊かな伝統と文化を体験する特別な機会を提供します（参加費無料）。
西陣織の織物がどのようにして作られ、京都の文化とどのように結びついているかを学びながら、留学生と日本人学生で楽しく交流しませんか。
西陣織の職人は主に女性であることから、女性が伝統産業において重要な役割を果たしている実例を目の当たりにし、ジェンダーの視点でその文化的意義を考える機会にもなります。

We are excited to announce the "Threads of Kyoto: Exploring the Nishijin Textile Culture" event on June 23 (Sunday) from 12:30 to 16:00.
This event offers a special opportunity for both international and Japanese students at our university to experience the rich tradition and culture of Nishijin handweaving (participation is free).
The experience aims to promote interaction between international and Japanese students while learning how Nishijin textiles are made and how they are connected to Kyoto's culture.
Since many of the artisans are women, it will also provide an opportunity to witness the important roles women play in traditional industries and consider the cultural significance from a gender perspective.
Participants will deepen their cross-cultural understanding and reflect on the importance of diversity and equality.

• Participation Fee: Free (The transportation cost from Kinugasa campus to Nishijin Textile Center is included. Please cover the return journey by yourself.)
