Are you considering graduate school?
Don't miss this opportunity to hear from current graduate students about their journeys and the exciting research happening at Ritsumeikan, including:

・Why they chose Ritsumeikan and Japan
・An overview of their research topics
・The challenges and rewards of being a graduate student
・Advice for undergraduates

This is the first event of the academic year, following last year's event.

Date: Tuesday, April 22nd
Time: 12:30 - 13:00
Location: Kinugasa BBP 1st floor, Sofa area
Language: Presentation will be in English. Q&A and discussion can be in any language.
Registration is not required.

Speakers:
●Alexandra - Graduate School of International Relations, Doctoral Program 

(Research: Chasing the Japan Dream ; An Analysis of the Social and Political Implications the Globalization of Labor in the Japanese Video Game Industry.)

●Yongqing - Graduate School of International Relations, Doctoral Program 

(Research: Multicultural Questions in Japan)

Presentations will be in English, but the speakers are fluent in Japanese. Students who are not confident in speaking English are also welcome.
After the presentations, there will be a Q&A session and free discussion time. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and to engage in lively conversations, and learn more about the diverse research conducted at Ritsumeikan.

大学院ってどんなところ？現役大学院生のお話を聞いてみませんか？

昨年度に引き続き、今年度第1回目の開催です。
大学院進学を考えている方、まだ進路が定まっていない方、大学院に進学したものの、学内で他の研究科の院生さんと出会う機会がない方、

立命館で様々な研究をしている大学院生からお話を聞いてみましょう。

今回は、2名の大学院生に以下の点を中心にお話をしていただきます。
・なぜ立命館で（日本で）研究をすることにしたのか
・どんな研究をしているのか
・大学院生としてのやりがいや難しさ
・学部生へのアドバイスなど

日時：4月22日(火)　12:30-13:00
場所：衣笠BBP1F ソファエリア
使用言語：プレゼンテーションは英語、質問タイムはその他の言語も◎

スピーカー：
●Alexandra – 国際関係研究科 博士後期課程　

研究テーマ：ジャパンドリームを追いかけて　日本のビデオゲーム産業における労働のグローバル化がもたらす社会的・政治的影響の分析

●Yongqing – 国際関係研究科 博士後期課程　

研究テーマ：日本での多文化社会における問い

プレゼンテーションは全て英語で行ないますが、スピーカーの皆さんは日本語が堪能です。英語に自信がなくても是非参加してください。
プレゼンテーションの後は、質問タイム、フリートークの時間があります。立命館で行なわれている色々な研究について聞いてみたり、

迷っていることを聞くこともできます。
事前申込は不要、ランチの持ち込みも可ですので、お気軽にご参加ください。

また、学部生だけでなく、このイベントへ参加してくださる大学院生も募集しています。普段知り合うことのない大学院生と意見交換をしたり、ネットワーキングをする機会にしてください。
さらに、次回のスピーカーも絶賛募集中です。ご自身の経験をお話ししてみたい大学院生のみなさん、ご連絡をお待ちしています！
