World Week Day 4 :どんな子どもだった？

In Grade 2, three guest teachers visited the class. Each student asked one original question they had prepared. They listened carefully to the answers and wrote down what they learned. The guest teachers taught greetings in their own languages. The students were very excited and tried saying the words together. During lunch time, the guest teachers ate with the students. Everyone enjoyed the quiz about red miso from the broadcasting team.

In Grade 4, the guest teachers talked about their childhood. They shared what they liked when they were young, what kind of children they were, and foods they liked or disliked. The students listened with interest and asked many questions.

After the talk, the students made a “childhood story show” about the guest teachers. Some groups made a news-style show, and others made a game-show style presentation. They worked creatively and had a lot of fun.

Tomorrow is the last day of World Week. We hope it will be a wonderful day where everyone can share their thanks.

２年生では、３人のゲストティーチャーを招き、英語で自己紹介をしたり、たくさん質問をしたりしながら交流を楽しみました。自分たちが考えたオリジナル質問を聞き、わかったことをワークシートに書き留めていく姿がありました。ゲストティーチャーからは、それぞれの国の言葉でのあいさつや食べ物の言い方を教えてもらい、子どもたちは興味津々で口々にまねしていました。

また、今日は特別にゲストティーチャーと給食を一緒に食べました。献立にあった「赤だし」についてのクイズも行われ、みんなで笑顔いっぱいに楽しむことができました。

４年生の英語の授業では、国際学生のみなさんに子どもの頃の話をしていただきました。「子どものころに好きだったこと」「どんな子どもだったか」「好きだった食べものや、きらいだった食べもの」などをお話しいただき、子どもたちはたくさん質問しながら楽しく聞いていました。

お話を聞いたあとは、子どもたちが「先生の子ども時代」を紹介する番組づくりに取り組みました。ニュース風に発表するグループや、ゲーム番組風に発表するグループなど、どの班も工夫を凝らし、とても楽しく活動することができました。

また今日は、各クラスでそれぞれの先生方と一緒に昼食を食べることができ、子どもたちはとても楽しいひとときを過ごしました。

World Weekも明日が最終日です。感謝の気持ちをしっかりと伝えられる、素敵な一日になりますように。
