本プログラムは立命館大学に所属する全ての博士後期課程学生や専門研究員を対象とし、自身が思い描く独創的で挑戦的・野心的な研究活動に対して研究費を含めた活動支援を行うプログラムです。

■申請期間　2025年1月10日（金）～ 2025年1月31日（金）13時

■申請資格：
・本大学の博士後期課程学生（博士後期課程、4年制博士課程または一貫制博士課程３年次相当以上に在籍する学生）、専門研究員、日本学術振興会特別研究員DC1、DC2、PD、RPD
・専門研究員、日本学術振興会特別研究員（PD・RPD）については、博士の学位を取得後8年未満であること。但し、産前・産後休暇、育児休業等のライフイベントによる休暇期間は除く。

■助成採択規模：
・博士後期課程学生、日本学術振興会特別研究員（DC1・DC2）：2件程度（1件あたり最大250万円）
・専門研究員、日本学術振興会特別研究員（PD・RPD）：2件程度（1件あたり最大250万円）

●申請条件について
Q.このプログラムは他の研究助成との併給は可能でしょうか。
A.このプログラムは他の研究助成と併給可能です。ただし、他の研究助成が本プログラムと併給可能か否か、各資金元に必ずご確認ください。
Q.羽ばたく次世代研究者挑戦的研究プログラムに、年齢制限はありますか。
A.このプログラムに年齢制限はございません。
Q.私は大学院に標準終了年限を超えて在籍しているのですが、このプログラムに申請することできますか。
A.標準終了年限を超えていても、このプログラムに申請することができます。
Q.現在D3で、2025年9月に学位取得の予定です。この場合応募可能でしょうか。
A.このプログラムは2025年度の1年間在籍する方が対象のため、応募できません。

●申請書について
Q.1ページ目の受賞歴などの欄の大きさを変更してもよろしいでしょうか。
A.調整は可能ですが、欄の削除は行わないでください。
Q.研究計画について図を用いてもよろしいのでしょうか。
A.図を用いてのご説明は可能です。
Q.予算計画について、表の使途の欄以外に別途詳細な使途を書く必要はありますか。それとも、表内に全てを書く必要がありますか。
A.欄外での別途詳細な使途の記載は想定しておらず、表の使途欄内でのご説明を想定しております。いずれにしても（1）～（5）で2頁以内と限られたスペースでの説明が求められますので、予算に係る説明をどの程度詳しく行うかは、これらの条件を勘案しつつ、ご自身でご判断ください。
Q.年度をまたいでの予算執行は可能でしょうか。
A.年度をまたいでの予算執行はできません。2026年3月末までに使い切る計画を立案ください。

Q.ファイル名に指定はありますか。
A.特別な指定はございませんが、全角のファイル名の場合エラーが出る場合がありますので、必ず半角にしてから提出ください。

This program is open to all doctoral students and Senior Researchers affiliated with Ritsumeikan University, and provides support, including research grants, for their original, challenging, and ambitious research activities.

■ Application period : Between Friday, January 10 and 13:00 on Friday, January 31, 2025

■ Application eligibility
- Doctoral students at Ritsumeikan University (doctoral students enrolled at Ritsumeikan University and students enrolled in the third year or higher of an integrated doctoral program), Senior Researchers, or JSPS Research Fellows for Young Scientists (DC1, DC2, PD, RPD)
- For Senior Researchers and JSPS Research Fellows for Young Scientists (PD, RPD), there must be less than eight years elapsed after obtaining their doctoral degrees. However, leave periods due to life events such as prenatal/postnatal leave, childcare leave, etc. shall be excluded.

■ Support scale
- for doctoral students: Approximately two projects (up to 2.5 million yen per project)
- for Senior Researchers and student PDs: Approximately two projects (up to 2.5 million yen per project)

■ FAQ
Q. Can those currently receiving other research grants apply for this program?
A. Yes, they can apply. However, please be sure to check with the funding source(s) to confirm whether or not you are allowed to receive grants from this program.
Q. Is there an age limit for this program?
A. There is no age limit for this program.
Q. Can I apply for this program even though I am enrolled in a Graduate School beyond the standard course duration?
A. Yes, you can apply for this program even if you are over the standard course duration.
Q. I am currently a 3rd-year PhD student and will receive my degree in September 2025. Can I apply for this program in this case?
A. No. This program is for those who will be enrolled for the entire AY2025.

● Application forms
Q. May I alter the size of the columns on the first page, such as awards received?
A. You may adjust the size of the columns, but please do not delete any columns.
Q. May I explain my research plan using diagrams?
A. Yes, you may.
Q. Regarding the budget plan, is it necessary to prepare a separate detailed statement other than the usage column in the table? Or is it necessary to write everything down in the table?
A. We do not expect you to provide detailed information outside of the columns. In any case, the explanation is required within the limited space of no more than two pages for (1) through (5), so please use your own judgment as to how much detail to provide in your budget explanation, taking these conditions into consideration.
Q. Is it possible to spend the budget in AY2026 as well?
A. No, it is not possible. Please plan to use up the allocated budget in AY2025, i.e. by the end of March 2026.

● Uploading application forms
Q. Is there any specification for file names?
A. There is no specific requirement for file names. However, file names in full-width characters may cause errors. Please be sure to use half-width characters before submitting the forms.
