2012年9月。立命館大学BKCインターナショナルハウス（BKC Iハウス）が完成しました。
「国際相互理解を通じた多文化共生の学園を確立する」という学園憲章の理念を具体化し、
教育・研究の国際化を進めるために、外国人留学生と日本人学生が
共同生活を通じて国際交流を行うことを目的として建設されました。
また、地域と留学生との交流の場になることも期待されています。
施設の中は、一体どうなっているのでしょうか？ 学生広報スタッフが取材しました！
地球にとってもやさしいBKC Iハウス！
太陽光パネルやオールLED照明（寮室以外）など、とってもエコな建物！
また周辺には四季をテーマにした庭もあります。どんな花が咲くのか楽しみですね。

Q．学生サポートスタッフになったきっかけは？
A．カナダ留学や海外旅行などの経験を通し、外国の方との交流に興味がありました。そんな時、スタッフ募集の案内を見て、ぜひやってみたいと思い応募しました。
Q．留学生のみなさんとやってみたいことは？
A．寮にあるバスケットコートやビリヤード台等の施設を利用して、交流を深めたいです。中でも、各階にある共有のキッチンを使って、お互いの国の料理を一緒に作りながら互いの国を知り合いたいと思っています。また、様々なイベントや企画を通して日本文化の一端を知ってもらいたいです。
Q．留学生のみなさんへメッセージをお願いします。
A．不安なことがあれば、何でも相談してください。みなさんの悩みや不安を共有し、身近な存在になりたいと思っています。楽しい寮生活にしていきましょう！
行ってきました、BKC Iハウス！まさに“繋がりの場"と呼ぶに相応しく、各階の共同キッチンやセミナールーム、ロビーなど、交流の場が盛りだくさんでした。また和室のラウンジもあり、普段から日本の文化に触れることができる造りにもなっています。きっと「部屋に引きこもっていられない」という気持ちになるはず。他にもさまざまな工夫が施され、寮内を歩くだけでも楽しめます！また、学生サポートスタッフのみなさんがいるのも安心ですね。イベントを開催したり、交流の場としても楽しい場所になりそうです。ここをきっかけに、みなさんが充実した大学生活を過ごせるといいなと思います。
The Ritsumeikan University BKC International House was completed in September of 2012.
The BKC I-House incorporates a phrase of the Ritsumeikan Charter,
which is Ritsumeikan is commited to sincerely reflecting upon history and to building
an institution where many cultures coexist in the spirit of international mutual understanding.
Also it encourages international students and Japanese students interact through living together
to inspire the internationalization of education and research at Ritsumeikan University.
Furthermore, we hope our international students and local residents will be able to
meet and enjoy their time together. Here is a student reporter's report.
BKC I-House is very ecological with solar panels and LED lights
through out the building except in student rooms.
Furthermore, it has a garden based on the four seasons.
It helps you to enjoy the seasonal flowers !

Q．Why did you decide to be a Residential Mentor?
A．I have been interested in meeting people from different countries through my experiences like studying in Canada and overseas travels.
At the moment I saw the staff wanted ad, I really wanted to apply.
Q．What would you like to do with international students?
A．I would love to cook dishes from different countries together at the shared kitchen to know each other more. And also I want to encourage international students to learn a part of Japanese culture through Japanese food.
Q．Pleas say a message for international students
A．Pleas don’t hesitate to ask me anything when you feel uneasy. I would like to stay on your side and share your worries together. Let’s enjoy our time at BKC I-House!
BKC I-House is a very good place to enjoy time together for international students and Japanese students alike. There are a lot of facilities to have a good time together, like shared kitchens, seminar rooms, and lobbies… and also students live with Japanese culture because of the Japanese style room. I bet students can’t keep themselves in private rooms. Also you can see really interesting areas, so just walking around is fun!
Furthermore, residence mentors are very important! It makes it possible for international students to live safely.
And also I think it is going to be a good place for International students and Japanese students to enjoy their time together.
I hope BKC I-House will be a place to enjoy university life !
