I'm married and I have a small family with only one child. Since my family members (son and wife) have lived in Vancouver, Canada, between August 2001 and July 2008, I could see them only when I went to Vancouver or when they made their irregular returns to Japan during holiday periods. However, they finally left Vancouver at the end of July and returned to Japan on August 1, 2008.
I have a 21 years old son. He is now taller than me (179 cm) and he's surely
a typical Japanese boy. He has moved to Canada with his family in August,
2001 and has stayed there with his mother even after I have returned to
Japan in March 2002 (I have revisited during my summer, winter and spring
holidays.). He has finished his elementary school education in June 2003,
has advanced to a secondary school in September 2003, and then has successfully
completed his secondary school education in Vancouver, Canada in June 2008.
I was very proud of him. Although he has received acceptance letters from
two Canadian universities (University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University)
to study computer science, he has also been accepted for the IT major course
at Bond University (BU) in Gold Coast, Australia. As a result, he decided
to enroll for BU and moved to Australia late August, 2008. He has
enjoyed his student life at BU in Gold Coast. He has completed all the required credits in August
2010 and has graduated with Bachelor with IT from BU on October 9th, 2010. He is now studying for
a master's program (Management and Innovation Technology) at the university of New South Wales since February 2011
and he has completed it in November 2011 and will graduate in March 2012. After a series of job hunting actitives, he has been accepted by
four companies in Tokyo and he will make the final decision soon.
- >We drove down from Gold Coast to Sydney and Melbourne from 05/09/11 to 11/09/11 and stayed for two nights in Melbourne and three nights in Sydney. It was over 4000km and very tiring trip.
- We traveled to Tahiti (Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa) for 3 weeks from Jule 29, 2011 and had a great time at each island.
- We traveled to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia for four nights in November 30-December 4, 2010.
- We made a family trip to Toronto-Niagara, New York, Orlando, Miami-Key West in August-September of 2007 for 12 days.
We visited Australia and relaxed ourselves at a nice 3-bed-room unit in Runaway Bay, Queensland, during the year-end and New Year holidays for 1995-96. Yes, it's summer down under! We went back again and stayed druring August 1-25 for our summer holidays (Yes, it's winter down under, but it had a quite comfortable weather!
The Nozawas visited Seoul for the first time October in 1995 and enjoyed there very much.
