研究内容
研究関心は農業や農村の開発・発展にあります。主なフィールドは東南アジア（特にミャンマー）です。人々の生業や生活と生態・社会・経済環境との係わり合いを現地の視点から解きほぐし、それぞれの地域が望ましい将来像を構築するための情報発信や実践活動（国際開発事業への関与など）をおこないたいと考えています。
大学院を目指す方へ
みなさんが研究で満足できる成果が得られるように、ゼミを通じてできるだけのサポートをしたいと考えています。同時に、みなさんが研究に没頭した大学院生活をおくることを期待しています。ゼミではそれぞれの院生が取り組む研究テーマについて議論します。
