Research project summary (Objectives/goals (results))

The two main contents for review as part of this research project are as described below.

  • How do people who initially resist or feel conflicted towards the Inamori management philosophy eventually learn to accept it? We will apply a qualitative approach to clarifying changes in the set of values held by the individual, and the process used to integrate the philosophy as organizational values.
We will also look at how acceptance of the philosophy is spread at a workplace level.
  • Does the philosophy act as a buffer for estranged superior-subordinate relationships?
Led by a hypothesis that being receptive of the philosophy (establishing high levels of understanding and receptivity) can help curtail discord with superiors and colleagues (problem-based discord and emotional discord), we will perform a quantitative analysis of this theory based on chronological data.
