When will Typhoon Shanshan go away?

We really want to know it, too. We are considering how we should do for the conference in case of severe typhoon condition.

We will hold the conference.

[Updated on Aug. 28th] Do you adopt Hybrid format for the JKC-FE14?

Yes. JKC-FE14 has decieded to hold the conference as a hybrid event for the safety of participants as of Aug. 28th 12:00. We use Zoom as the online platform. The Zoom meeting ID and password will be announced to the registrants via email .

はい,できます.駐車場は基本的にどなたでも利用可能で,平日は3時間まで土日祝は1時間まで無料,1日300円になります. 車両ナンバー認識+駐車券のシステムとなっています.




Presentation

How should I present my poster online???


The program committe is considering that the posters accepted and not presented in the venue due to the hybrid-format adoption are to be uploaded on the web-based poster session site. If you are a student, your poster is to be reviewed for Student Poster Award. So, please do keep your poster presentation and do not withdraw it unless you completely quit JKC-FE14. If you are a regular registrant, your poster is to be also dispayed on the website of this conference. The presentations are to be protected by passwords so that only registrants can visit.

What is the format of the presentations?


The time for the oral presentations are as follows: Plenary/Keynote Lectures: 45 min, Invited Talks: 30 min, Contributed Talks: 15 min (including Q &A).

The standard poster size is A0 Portrait: Width 841mm, Height 1189mm.

Excursion

When will the excursion finish on Sep. 1? Can I bring all my baggage with me during Excursion?


The breakup place may be either BKC (the venue) or JR Otsu Station. The JR Otsu St. is only two stops away from Kyoto St (9 min). You can store your baggage on the bus. The return bus will take you to Otsu station, Minami-Kusatsu station, and BKC.

Student Accommodation

Is there any inexpensive accommodation for students?


For students, we have booked an on-campus accommodation (Epoch Ritsumei 21; エポック立命21) from Aug. 29th to Sep. 2nd (4 nights). The charge is 1,800 JPY / night / person), which must be paid by cash at the front desk. Each room has 8 beds. There are communal showers / toilets. Amenity goods such as towels or toothbrushes are not provided. Meals will not be provided. Please bring your own towels and foods for breakfast. Please contact us by emaill for reservation (please let us know the number of male and female persons). Both Korean and Japanese students are welcome. The maximum number of visitors is expected to be 40 (separate rooms for men and women).
