About研究科紹介
立命館大学大学院大学院先端総合学術研究科（先端研）は、大学院における研究のディシプリンからテーマへの変換 を趣旨として、2003年に人文社会学を中心とした一貫制博士課程 として設置された。先端研も開設から20年以上が経過 し、「中核としての倫理」を理念に、研究者に限らず多くの博士学位取得者を輩出してきました。公共、生命、共生、表象という四つの領域を中心に、立命館大学の各研究所と連携しながら、プロジェクト型研究 を推進するカリキュラムを提供しています。プロジェクト型研究への参加のなかで、院生と教員がパートナーシップ を結びながら、多様な研究テーマを持つ院生 が活動しています。先端研は、過去・現在・未来の「研究」の形を模索しながら、現代の様々な課題に取り組む研究者の育成 を目指しています。
The Ritsumeikan University Graduate School of Core Ethics and Frontier Sciences (Sentanken) was
established
in 2003 as a consecutive doctoral program with a focus on the humanities and social sciences. Founded on
the
vision of transforming research from discipline-based approaches to theme-driven inquiry , the school has
nurtured a diverse community of scholars for over twenty years .
With ethics at the core of our philosophy, the program offers a project-centered curriculum structured
around the four interdisciplinary research domains social issues, life, coexistence, and representation,
developed in close collaboration with Ritsumeikan University’s research institutes. Fostering a strong
partnership between graduate students and faculty and an active body of students with diverse topics , the
Graduate School continually reflects on the past, present and future demands on academic research, and
aims
to cultivate the next generation of researchers equipped to address complex global challenges.
