教員紹介

My research activities include interdisciplinary studies in the humanities and social sciences related to health and illness, alongside clinical work in neurology and neuroscience. I take a sociologically grounded approach to medicine, illness, and disability, exploring their philosophical dimensions. My research spans a wide range—from the humanities and social sciences of viruses to globalization studies. More recently, I have also begun investigating conspiracy theories. I am an active member of academic societies such as the Japan Society of Health and Medical Sociology and the Japan Association for Bioethics. My major publications include Infectious Disease Society (Jinbun Shoin, 2020, in Japanese) and Clinic and Biopolitics (Seidosha, 2024, in Japanese).
