批判的国際関係理論、最近ではとくに国際社会論やポスト西洋的なグローバル国際関係学の可能性をめぐる研究に取り組んでいます。英米両国の歴史的文脈のなかで発展してきた国際関係理論を批判的に振り返るとともに、多様な歴史のあり方に根ざした知へと拓く方法を探っています。最近はウェストファリア史観を批判的に乗り越えるあり方や、グローバル国際関係学の方法・ペダゴギーについての研究を進めています。

関心領域：IR/IPEの批判理論、IRの社会学・学説史、国際体系の比較史、東アジアの批判的地政学、批判的安全保障論、ネオリベラリズムの政治

私のゼミでは「批判的国際関係理論」の観点から理論・歴史・イシューをめぐる論争を扱います。ここで「批判的」とはたんにデータを無批判に収集するだけでなく、つねにそれがわれわれの国際関係の理解とどう関係しているのかについて問いかけることです。ともに批判的知への探究を志す方を歓迎します。
