Lachlan R JACKSON
My area of research is in the field of sociolinguistics, the study of the relationship between language and society. Specifically, I am interested in bilingualism – the ability to speak two (or more!) languages. At the moment, I am researching Irish language education in Irish primary schools.
I enjoyed my university life very much. I studied quite hard, but I also enjoyed other aspects of being a student – my part-time job, practicing kendo with the university kendo club, and socialising with my friends. I think my days as a university student were filled with opportunities to try and experience new things. I hope you can do the same!
I am interested in how languages affect peoples lives – socially, culturally, economically and politically.
