IR Students and GS Students Bond at IR NIGHT 2015!
IR NIGHT was held at Café ROSSO, located in the basement of Ryoyukan Building at Ritsumeikan’s Kinugasa Campus. There was a large turnout from both the International Relations and Global Studies majors. Students from all grades and nations were brought together.
IR NIGHT is an annual event held jointly by the IR Student Association (Jichikai) and the International Studies Association (Gakkai). It is an event run by students of the College of International Relations for students of the College of International Relations.
Even though many students had never met before, the event was a huge success and went on well past the scheduled end time.
Highlights of the night included the buffet dinner, a presentation from the student-run refugee support organization “PASTEL”, a duet performance by two first-year students “Kiri and Megumi”, and a performance by “NIKON”—the five-member band made up of professors of the College of International Relations.
It was a wonderful evening of fun for the whole IR-GS student body.
We, the Student Association and the International Studies Association of the College of International Relations, hope that this event will lead to even closer ties between IR and GS students!
