Cultivating people who create new value and contribute to the future
Ritsumeikan's integrated education opens up a variety of career paths.

The curriculum is divided into three stages, each encompassing four years of education, corresponding to the developmental stage of the students. The first stage is from the first to fourth grades of primary school. The second stage is from the fifth grade of primary school to the second year of junior high school. The third stage is from the third year of junior high school to the third year of high school. Each sets its own achievement goals and develops distinctive educational activities. Students are encouraged from the beginning to set future career goals, fostering an attitude of self-learning in order to achieve their dreams.
Global communicators that hold the future in their hands
Ritsumeikan Junior and Senior High School launched a new curriculum in 2013. While implementing an educational vision rooted in our school's tradition of holistic education, the new curriculum incorporates more than ever the concepts of “connecting to society” and “thinking from an international perspective”, and aims to nurture individuals with a global perspective who will contribute to the future, opening up a new era with their own abilities.
Four courses have been developed for the second half of the third stage. Project Research initiatives in the CE, SS, and GL courses, the development of liberal arts and sciences curriculum in the MS course, and the preparation of learning programs that connect to these efforts all work to foster students with high aspirations for the future.
