High School Grades 2 and 3 (Third Stage - Second Half)

One of the goals of the program is for students to become accepting of others and improve themselves through diverse friendships, so classes are composed of a mix of students from Ritsumeikan Elementary School and students from other elementary schools. Mathematics and English are taught in small group classes. Particularly English classes are divided according to learning background, allowing each student to deepen their learning.

CE Course

Numerous programs leading to university.

Students will develop an independent learning style and intensify their advanced learning in the humanities and social sciences. Through various collaborative programs with Ritsumeikan University and advanced subject research classes, students will develop their personal ability to be inquisitive and study.

Improve students’ ability to express themselves and their communication skills.

Through discussions and presentations, students will acquire the ability to organize their own ideas and communicate them at a high level.

GL Course

Establishment of original English-specific subjects.

Students develop practical and advanced English skills through classes such as "English Discussion,” in which students discuss issues around the world in English, as well as in classes where they make presentations and write essays about international issues.

Comprehensive training.

During the long holiday, there are many opportunities to participate in overseas training in English-speaking countries, various domestic and international seminars and contests, and Model United Nations. These opportunities provide students with the chance to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, including those from different cultures. In this way, students will acquire the ability to think about Japan's future.

SS Course

High-level science and mathematics education.

Students can receive high-level science and mathematics education in this course at our school, which has been designated as a "SSH/Super Science High School" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. It is also possible to visit research institutes as well as participate in workshops at universities both in Japan and abroad, allowing students to develop academic and scientific skills that can be used around the world while experiencing cutting-edge science.

Comprehensive high school and university collaboration program.

In the collaborative program with Ritsumeikan University, students can attend specialized lectures from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, as well as experience experiments and exercises tailored to their individual interests.

SSG Course

Work together with high school students from around the world at JSSF.

Ritsumeikan High School holds the Japan Super Science Fair (JSSF) every year, inviting high school students from all over the world to present their research and have discussions. Students in the SSG class take the lead in organizing the event and giving presentations. As they deepen their interactions with future scientists from around the world, they develop the qualities necessary to become frontrunners in science. JSSF in 2022 was held with the participation of 25 schools from 18 countries and regions overseas and 10 schools in Japan.

Overseas Scientific Research Workshop

All students in the SSG course participate in the 13-week Overseas Scientific Research Workshop. By engaging in purposeful training activities with high school and university students from overseas, students broaden their horizons and acquire the awareness and language skills essential to being active as scientists in international society.
