研究内容

  • 元々は東南アジアや南アジア諸国の社会・経済発展に関心がありましたが、JICA職員時代にアフガニスタンへ赴任したことをきっかけに、紛争後の国家の再建や援助の在り方についての論考や書籍を発表してきました。経済学や政治学といった学問分野(ディシプリン)の蓄積を重視し敬意を払いながらも、広い視野で、さらに先進国や途上国といった区分も越え、我々が直面する現代の課題を対象として研究していこうと考えています。

大学院を目指す方へ

学部レベルでは様々な対象に広く触れることはできますが、研究や現実の事象に迫るコアな部分まで到達するには時間的な限界があります。アカデミックな知識の現実適用性、そして理論がどのような背景から紡ぎだされてきたのかを知りたい方は、大学院への進学を考えても良いかと思います。

研究の面白さ
教科書をはじめとした書籍や論文にかかれていることを理解することはとても重要で、しかも決して簡単なことではありません。そんな内容も現実の世界で起こっていること(みなさんの身近なことでも構わない)を通して観ると、あたまの中で突然「閃き」が起き、本当の意味で自分の知識となることがあります。そんな経験ができるとき、研究の面白さと恐ろしさを感じるでしょう。
