IMコースでは現在総勢100名を超える生徒が、カナダ・ニュージーランド・オーストラリアの3か国で留学中です。

今年の１月に出発した高校２年生は、１２月に帰国に向けてそろそろゴールが見える時期となりました。

現地の生活にも慣れた生徒たちは、今どのような生活を送っているのでしょうか？

今回はNZに留学中の生徒より、英語の授業で表彰をされたという喜ばしいレポートを紹介させていただきます。

表彰をされて嬉しい様子や、現地の学校で多くを吸収している様子が伺えます。

現地で学んだことを帰国後どのように発揮してくれるのか、今後の活躍が楽しみです。

Prize Giving

I am writing to inform you about the recent prize-giving ceremony where I was awarded the Certificate of Excellence for English Class. The event took place on November 1st at Massey High School. Before mentioning my award, I would like to provide an overview of how things have been going, share insights into my school life, and discuss what I have learned through school life.

Massey High School is a co-educational state secondary school located in Auckland, New Zealand, established in 1969. It holds an enrolment of approximately 1550 students, representing a diverse range of ethnic backgrounds, including Asian, Pacific, European, and Middle Eastern.

Throughout my school life, I have had the opportunity to interact with people from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. This experience has taught me that we need not be overly concerned with these differences, as long as we maintain mutual respect. The most valuable point I have learned is that we should not be afraid of making mistakes or bothering with details. Instead, we should embrace a mindset of trying new things without fear of potential errors. In group work, for instance, the focus is on problem-solving and taking corrective action rather than condemning for mistakes. This point has encouraged me to try various things I wanted to try, such as joining the rugby team and selling homemade soaps at the marketplace.

When it came to the prize-giving ceremony, I was so honored to get the Certificate of Excellence for English Class. I attribute this achievement to my commitment to continuous improvement. I diligently approached each assessment, seeking mistakes from my teacher whenever I had questions or needed feedback on rooms requiring improvement, and then fixing them up to get them done.
