全てが終わり、やはり笑顔でダンスやマジックなど数々の出し物などを披露し合い、互いの交流を深めた時間。それまで真剣に向き合ってきたからこそわかり合える関係になっていたように思う。人の笑顔とは誰かから自己を防衛するためのものだという説があるらしいが、ここにあるのはそういった飾り気の一切ない笑顔だった。

　閉会式では、各校代表者がそれぞれ特徴的ですばらしいスピーチを披露した。今回初招待の国内2校は、本校生にとって本当に大きな刺激であった。これまでは、ややもすれば日本代表としての振る舞いを自己に過剰に求めてきた。海外からの参加校もその国・地域を代表するトップ校ばかり。私の失敗は日本の失敗。そんなことはないのにそう思ってしまう。国内2校は、ともに日本のトップ校の1つであることは衆目の一致するところ。生徒たちの力量も高い。しかも受験勉強一辺倒ではなく、このようなフォーラムにも参加する意欲をもち、トップ大学に進学していく。このようなメンタリティーを持ち合わせている同世代との協同作業を通して、本校生は自己を相対化し、肩の力を抜いて柔軟性をもって学ぶことできた。また、そこから得たものは非常に多かった。「夢のような5日間だった」。そう語った国内2校の生徒たちにも得たものは多かったにちがいない。

　クロージング・スピーチは生徒実行委員長の山本愛実さん。タレント揃いのメンバーを上手に束ねてきた彼女。その彼女から出た言葉がCommunication, Contribution Collaborationの3つの「C」だった。このフォーラムを象徴する言葉であったし、グローバル社会で活躍するための必須条件でもある。

　今年度の生徒広報部のクオリティーはRSGF史上最高のものだった。「Global Citizen」とのタイトルは、歴代の先輩が引き継いできたニュースレターの名称。今年度もそれを採用し発行してきたが、今年はそのコンテンツが非常に充実していた。アカデミックな内容や地道に足で稼いだ情報など、一朝一夕にできるものではないそれらを生徒自らで作成した。また、専用ホームページも昨年度を大きく越える内容に仕上げた（http://www.fkc.ritsumei.ac.jp/fkc/rsgf2017/index.html）。さらに、オープニングとクロージングPVはその出来栄えはもちろんすばらしかったが、その作成にボランティア・スタッフとして他コースの生徒が参画してくれたことが何よりもうれしかった。「これはすごい！」。大規模な国際フェアを幾度も経験してきたあるスタッフ教員が何度もつぶやいた。PVの後、エンディングはWe Are The Worldを全員で唄い、RSGF2017は幕を閉じた。

　「具体性を伴なわないポリコレ（Political Correctness）なconclusionを昇華する」。これがRSGF初年度からの我々の課題。しかし、今回はこれを超えようとする取り組みが、RSGFが終わった今まさに進行中である。この取り組みがどういう結末を見せるのかは誰にもわからない。しかし、ただ一つ言えることは、RSGFは“お祭り”ではなかった。一回性のイベントではなかったということであった。

　「RSGFは捨てよう！」。3年生を前にして総括として語りかけた言葉。すばらしかった。しかし、そうであるがゆえに、その成功体験にいつまでもしがみつくのはやめよう。RSGFはあなたたちの目的ではない。あなたたちにはRSGFを通して得ようとしたものがあったはずで、RSGFはその一つの方法に過ぎないのだから。

　本校SGHの挑戦はこれからも続きます。

　RSGF2017では、計10か国・地域の高校生約170名と本校に留学中の生徒3名、海外教員18名、立命館大学の留学生TAの約15名、一部企画に共同参加するGJクラス約60名の総勢約250名規模が、合計10時間を超えるディスカッションを行い、”Education for Children What education is needed for vulnerable children in the world? “というテーマのもと、5つのトピック･グループに分かれてディスカッションをしました。最後に生徒実行委員長の山本愛実さんのクロージング・スピーチを紹介します。

　As a representative of the RSGF student committee, and on behalf of all the participants in this forum, I would like to say a big thank you to you all for your great communication, contribution and collaboration to this Forum, which I believe we could finally reach this closing successfully.

　For the past 5 days, we could endeavor devotedly and dedicatedly to get over many difficulties during several events of RSGF, and therefore we could attain rich and affluent results.  And now, at this time, the RSGF2017 is about to be closed.  I can surely say that we have never taken such an incredible international forum, and this will be one of our best memories in our whole life.

　In poster-presentations, we could enhance our perspectives and knowledge, and could absorb the ideas and resources which have led our discussion to be more meaningful.  In cultural exchange activities, we could establish strong bonds, and tighten our friendship beyond individual cultures and borders.  In discussion sessions, we have been pursuing certain solutions, which could possibly allow as many children to get close to higher education as possible. We often argued, got distressed and frustrated, but we could manage to go through high mountains of problems, never giving up overcoming the difficulties we have. The action plans we adopted today at plenary session are pure crystals of our collaborative exertion, which will help to eliminate global issues we are facing today.

　The challenges we discussed in the RSGF might not be directly connected to our daily lives, or rather they might be what many of us have never thought about before. But this is the reality we need to acknowledge and confront. This is the reality we need to take responsibility for.  This is the reality that we need to take actions to change the world.  Who can make a change in the world?  It is you. It is me. It is ourselves that must play our crucial roles as global citizens to take effective measures to eradicate world sufferings, not only because we have to, but because it is only we that can do.  What we started to put forward today might be a small step, but we are confident it will cause a big difference in a global scale.  Even just our one-step, even any-one-word can change the world.

　The RSGF2017 is coming to an end now, but this is not the end at all. This is the very beginning of our better future.
