【レポート】International Colloquium on Asian Paths of Civilization and Development IV:“Beyond the COVID-19 Era in Asia: Young Researchers’ Engagements”
2023年2月11日、立命館大学アジア・日本研究所の主催で、公開シンポジウムInternational Colloquium on Asian Paths of Civilization and Development IV, “Beyond the COVID-19 Era in Asia: Young Researchers’ Engagements”が開催されました。
当日は、日本やマレーシアをはじめとするアジア各国から気鋭の若手研究者7名をお迎えし、以下の通りの研究報告を行いました。
第1セッションは、“At the Frontiers of Asia-Japan Research: Philosophy, Modern History, and Sustainable Agriculture”と題して、日本の近代政治や持続可能な農業に関する研究報告が以下の通りに行われました。
Dr.十河和貴（本研究所・専門研究員）: “Correlation between the Development of Party Politics and the Structure of Colonial Rule in Modern Japan: Focusing on Taiwan in the 1920s”
Dr. Ho Thanh Tam（本研究所・専門研究員）: “Policies for Sustainable Agriculture: Promotion and Its Challenges in Shiga Prefecture, Japan”
Dr.十河の報告は、近代日本政治と植民地支配の関係について、立憲政友会と憲政会の比較検討を実施しました。Dr. Tamは、滋賀県の稲作を事例に、農家へのインタビュー調査の結果から持続可能な農業を促進する国家政策について論じました。

第2セッションは、“Toward an Asian Islamic Life: Waqf, Halal Industry, and Shariah-based Economics”と題して、イスラーム経済に関する研究報告が以下の通りに行われました。
Dr. Nur Izzati Binti Mohamad Norzilan (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Senior Lecturer): “Projecting New Practices of Waqf Institutions in Islamic Economics: With Special Reference to Malaysian Cases on IoT”
Dr. Mohammad Naqib Bin Hamdan (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Senior Lecturer): “Cultured Meat as Alternative for Sustainable Food”
Dr. Mohd Khairy Kamarudin (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Senior Lecturer): “Social Support on Sadaqah-based Crowdfunding”
Dr. 桐原翠（日本学術振興会・特別研究員（PD））: “Developments and Challenges of Halal Certifications in non-Muslim Countries: The case of Japan”
Dr. Ammar Khashan （本研究所・准教授）: “Leveraging Blockchain Technology to Unlock Potential Instruments for Islamic Welfare: Applying FinTech for Revitalizing Waqf in Kuwait”
Dr. Izzatiの報告はオンラインによるワクフという新しい現象を取り上げ、マレーシアにおけるワクフの実践を明らかにするものでした。Dr. Naqibの報告は、培養肉という新しい領域についてハラールの観点から検討を試みるものでした。Dr. Khairyは、統計学を用いて、クラウドファンディング型のサダカを実践する動機についてのモデルを報告しました。Dr. 桐原は、マレーシアと日本におけるハラール認証規格の比較検討を行いました。Dr. Khashanの報告は、ワクフを事例にイスラーム経済におけるFin Tech（フィンテック）のはたらきを検討するものでした。

各報告の後には、ディシプリンや研究テーマの差異を越えて、活発で有意義な質疑応答が交わされました。海外からのオンライン参加者も加わり、盛況のまま本研究会は締めくくられました。
